“The pretty affordable 2018 Max Reserva Chardonnay from Aconcagua has moderate alcohol and remarkable acidity and freshness. The full clusters were pressed and the juice let to settle, and then it fermented in French oak barrels (20% new), where the wine matured for ten months. All of these wines have a very clean and precise profile, very integrated oak, moderate alcohol and aromas and flavors in the citrus range, with floral undertones. The palate is medium-bodied with clarity and a long, tasty, almost salty finish.”
